Megan Bowling is an experienced nurse executive and behavioral health leader, currently serving as the Director of Nursing for Inpatient Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Virginia Baptist Hospital, part of Centra Health. In this role, she oversees three inpatient psychiatric units and leads a team of over 100 FTEs, with a focus on safety, patient-centered care, and continuous quality improvement.
Megan’s background spans critical care and nursing administration. She has successfully led initiatives to reduce safety events, improve staff engagement, and elevate patient experience across diverse behavioral health settings.
She holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management, is board-certified in nursing leadership (NE-BC), and maintains certification in adult critical care nursing (CCRN-K). Megan is a member of ACHE, AONL, ANA, and NAMI, and is passionate about promoting a culture of psychological safety and innovation in healthcare.
